The short version
- Your photos and the cursors you make stay on your computer.
- This website has no ads, trackers or analytics of its own.
- We only keep what's needed to sell you a license, check it, help you, and tell you when we open if you join the waitlist.
This policy explains what information ClickBeans collects, why, and what you can do about it. ClickBeans is made by April Moon Studios FZC, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@aprilmoonstudios.com.
What we collect
Your pet photos. Photos you import into ClickBeans are processed on your computer. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
When you buy. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details; we never see your card number. We receive your name, email address, country, order details and license key.
When you activate or use the app. To check your license, the app sends your license key and your computer's name (for example "Sam's MacBook", so you can tell your computers apart) to our server, which checks it with Lemon Squeezy. It checks again about once a week when you're online. To check for updates, it sends the app version and your operating system version. It also asks our server which paw packs are available.
When you report a problem. If you use Report a Problem in the app, we receive what you wrote and, if you tick the box, details about your app and system.
When you join the waitlist. We keep your email address so we can tell you when ClickBeans goes on sale. We don't use it for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
When you email us. We keep your email address and anything you write to us.
On our website. We don't use analytics or tracking cookies. Your browser may store your last order on your own device so the "You're in!" page can show your key again; you can clear it anytime by clearing site data. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security. If you press play on the reel on our homepage, your browser loads Instagram's player, and Instagram's privacy policy applies to it. Nothing from Instagram loads until you do.
How we use it
- To deliver your purchase, license key and updates
- To check that a license is valid and within its device limit
- To answer support requests and process refunds
- To tell you when ClickBeans goes on sale, if you joined the waitlist
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Lemon Squeezy, for payments, taxes, receipts and license keys (their privacy policy)
- Our hosting provider (Cloudflare), which runs our license and update server
- Authorities, only if the law requires it
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and license records for as long as your license is active and as long as tax or accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@aprilmoonstudios.com. Depending on where you live, data protection laws (such as the UAE's data protection law or the EU and UK GDPR) may give you further rights. We'll reply within 30 days.
Children
ClickBeans is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let customers know by email.
